When an evaluation is assigned to you, you can open it from BoardSite or from your personal invitation link, save progress, and submit a final response.
Keep invitation links private: An evaluation link is specific to one recipient. Do not forward it or include it in a public document or support request.
Open your evaluation #
- Use one of these paths:
- Sign in and open Evaluations → Dashboard, then select Start Evaluation or Continue.
- Open the personal link from your evaluation invitation or reminder.
- Confirm the evaluation title, description, estimated time, and due date.
- Review the progress indicator before answering.
Answer and save #
- Complete each required question marked with an asterisk.
- Depending on the template, questions may use a 1–5 agreement scale, 1–5 star rating, Yes/No, multiple choice, open-ended text, or a matrix/grid.
- Responses auto-save as you work and briefly show Saved.
- Select Save Draft before leaving if you are not ready to submit. Return later with Continue.
Submit your evaluation #
- Review your answers and completion percentage.
- Select Submit Evaluation.
- Confirm the prompt. Submitted responses cannot be changed.
- Wait for the confirmation message and return to the Evaluations dashboard, where the evaluation should show as submitted or completed.
Anonymous and identified evaluations #
If the evaluation is anonymous, management and results views replace recipient names with anonymous labels. Your invitation is still used to track whether the assignment is pending, in progress, or complete. In a non-anonymous evaluation, authorized results viewers may be able to review identified responses.
Troubleshooting #
- If BoardSite says the evaluation is not assigned to you, confirm that you signed in with the intended account or request a new personal link from the evaluation manager.
- If the evaluation is closed or past its response window, contact the evaluation manager.
- If saved progress is missing, return through the same account or personal invitation link.
